OUR TRIBUTE TO MRS. LABAKE OKUYIGA

RE: MRS. FARAMADE ADELABAKE OKUYIGA
Your illness had been on, for a while. We were communicating, off and on, even when the COVID-19 Pandemic forced a separation of thousands of kilometers between us! The impression was that things were improving by the last time we were in touch. And our fervent wish was strongly in favour of you pulling out of the situation successfully. We relied on our prayers, and the grace and mercy of God. Then out of the blues, the sad news came – you had passed on, to eternity! What an experience! In all, though, we knew that God’s will must prevailed. And He not only knows better, He loves you much better and He is always right, absolutely.
And so, we bow and surrender to His will. He has called you up at His own time, and His time is the right time! Certainly, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race and you have kept the faith! The crown of righteousness awaits you. We are confident that you are in a much better place, resting from your labour, pains and tribulations, upon your Saviour’s chest. There, the good Lord will continue to grant you eternal rest, and let perpetual light shine on you.
Here in the Chapel of Christ our Light, you were a gem, loved and respected by many. We interacted quite a lot because our duties brought us close. You were a pillar in the Environment and Cleaning Ministry, which came under my supervision as an ordained Minister. When you acted as the Coordinator, your performance was in the excellent realm. In your dealings, you were honest, straightforward and fair to all. You motivated others to serve selflessly. Even when you took ill, you still gave of your time and effort to serve in the Ministry.
I know the Chapel, her members and especially those in the Cleaning Ministry will miss you. But heaven has increased the population of saints by your addition. Our prayer is that God will comfort and look after the family that you left behind. Sleep on, beloved, till we meet to part no more. Good night!
