My sweet Aunty “L” I want to thank you for the sweet memories you have left us. I still wait to hear you call my name or my nickname even though you prepared us for this day; it is still so hard to accept. In the face of daunting challenges, you held to your faith and you stayed strong and fought on even whilst we all fretted. You never for once complained, rather you smiled through it all. Aunty Labake, the Chief Organizer! She made sure everything was organized with a Superhero energy “Superwoman”, she even organized her own funeral (dishing out instructions on how she wanted things done) Your smile and laughter were some of the memorable features of my growing years, from the dance moves you taught my siblings and I to the cooking and outings. My travel partner, you loved God, you believed and you loved all. The boys cannot stop asking questions but they are comforted that Granma Labake is in heaven resting. We will miss you. Rest on with the angels and keep smiling.
